Xperia Webcast and Developer Q & A
The countdown to the Johnny X launch has almost run out, if you want to watch the webcast, it starts here in 15 minutes. We’ll be twittering the whole thing from an Xperia (yes, I’ve actually touched one,) and Paul from MoDaco and Matt from tracyandmatt are already here and running a joint CoverItLive session on their respective sites.
If you’ve got any questions, Twitter them, post them as a comment or Skype chat me with them and we’ll get some answers up here as soon as we can.
Enjoy!

Does the Xperia support ‘Alternate Line Service’ (offered by Orange in the UK as ‘Line 2′)?
I have to know - it is a deciding factor in me buying the X1… or not
Thanks!

Ok, since the x1 does not support flash lite 3 @ launch, can you download the Skyfire web browser to watch youtube videos?
Hi Anthony, At the moment Skyfire is only available in open beta in the US. I see no reason why the x1 shouldn’t support it.
anthony
so, it is possible? I can still watch youtube videos via Skyfire web browser, even though the X1 does not support flash right now? cause I been watching flash videos on my nokia n95 via skyfire. do you know when the X1 going to support flash? thanks.
Anthony
hello there, sorry for asking too much question. I’m just really looking forward to this phone. anyway, my question is, the U.S. version of the X1, is it still 30fps for the video? thanks for answering all of our questions.
Ben
Xperia 1 is truly an amazing phone, however, there’s just some little enquires about this phone.
1) Does it support password lock on the phone?
2) Is music playback allowed while browsing the internet, and or using others applications, etc.? In the sense that you can background the applications/or music player and leave them on-going, while proceeding to surf the net on the phone.
3) Is there a “hook-like” structure to hang the handstraps, accessories, etc.?
Thanks
dan.
if you read the other comments in the other blogs it’s said that there 2 versions of the x1: one of the has lower fps in the video recording….hopefully, the other specs on the 2 versions aren’t that different.. (my source comes from the other forums….if my answer is wrong someone post the real reason why.. thanks. go xperia x1!)
