I have installed this and so far only managed to connect to Facebook once that was when connected through Wi-Fi. When I connect using 3G then when I type my details it just keeps on loading, sometimes it will tell me the login has failed other times it will cause my X1 to just stall completely and require a restart!

@johnny – I had a similar(ish) problem first time i installed it. I just removed then re-installed and it worked fine.

@ales – not sure about availability in Slovenia but I know it’s widely available in Italy, you could try getting one online from an italian website?

I’m sorry if I am wrong. I noticed that it took a while for the phone to switch from one mode to the other (FB panel to camera and back). Didn’t it? And it took a while for the pictures to load as well once in the picture gallery. Is the phone on the slower side, coz after seeing the iPhone, and since X1 came much after it, I was expecting it to be atleast as fast as the iPhone. Nyway, I’m an SE fan and I’ve been wanting to buy this phone. Is it worth $800?

it would be great to have the option to upload the photo directly after taking it. Is that an option that can be added?

    Cheers Sam!

Re-installed it and still no luck. I’m not 100% happy with my X1 so far, becomes unresponsive at times and it seems to be eating through battery and a remarkable rate! I may have a duff unit after reading about how much everybody else is loving theirs!

I’ve been facing very sluggish problems with the Facebook panel. It is wonderful when it works but 99% of the time, after i login it usually just hangs up.

    @ Johnny

It is quite slow to be honest, when compared to ‘normal’ phones, but you have to accept that with the amount of features and applications. I had a HTC Touch Pro for a little while which was definately quicker but if you think the X1 eats the battery you’ve seen nothing, the record for the quickest drain was fully charged at 7am and a low battery warning at 2pm! And that was with WiFi and push email switched off.

Btw, where do we download this Facebook panel?

I tried the free Facebook panel and boy do you get what you pay for. No cut and paste and no predictive text and it kills Touchpal or Touchpal kills it. It looks as though WiFi is being used in the demo and I just download it last night but I seem to have the same issues as Johnny.

    Hi there,
does anyone know how to change settings of the FB panel?
It seems to connect automatically via a “web” APN, whereas under my contract only the “wap” APN is free.
Anyone any ideas or will I just have to go through my web browser as in the old days? :-)

    Cheers!
