Xperia Software Update

image We’ve had a couple of comments on the site regarding a sporadic Bluetooth problem with the phone. This is just a quick post to say that as far as we can see, they are fixed in the new ROM which you can download from the Xperia support site.

The new ROM (version 1.02.931.3) speeds up the load time, updates the 3D drivers, adds a Google search bar to the default home screen and  fixes the problem with Bluetooth. (note: as we’ve not had any problems with Bluetooth here, I can’t guarantee that this is right, but according to reports elsewhere, it is.)     I’m not completely understanding this. My xperia x1’s rom says 1.02.948.8 which would be higher and more recent than the 1.02.931.3 correct?

    Check the software version, is it R1 or R2? The ROM Version varies on the type of ROM In use… i.e. 931 in your ROM version says to me that it is a Generic UK ROM that you have… and FYI – the new R2 Generic UK ROM version is: 1.03.931.8 (much higher than what you have)

    My xp is definitly has a lower rom, but the update service says i have the latest software???

    i tried to run the update but it says the version on the phone is upadated one and then i dont see the option to continue….please HELP

    SEUS doesn’t seem to update! Looks like it isn’t available in the UK yet, typical!

    I’ve a UK X1 phone on ROM 1.03.931.10 and am currently on software R2AA010 – is this the latest version? As I’m hoping some miracle will sort out the horrendous battery life.

    Latest Uk rom is R3A. 1.05.206.13. 12/05/2009. Available from SEUK now.
